The world is changing.
The world is changing. Fast.
Beyond changing fast – it’s also changing the rules of how the game is played. For example, the AI revolution won’t make the existing workforce more productive. Rather, it will change the workforce entirely.
When the right people connect the dots between AI technologies and consumers that prefer the AI solution to a human, that entire industry will change overnight.
Read that again.
Almost every person I know is feeling the weight of growing pressure around them; costs, liabilities, inflation, tarifs, supply chain disruption and a polar shift in our political climate. All of these are heavy items to carry individually. Backbreaking, when combined.
If there’s one piece of advice I have, as somebody with a lifetime in technology and direct interface with leaders in the technology space…it’s this:
Rethink how you operate your life. Rethink how you pay your bills. Take an hour ro reflect on how the internet, technology and AI have changed the game in the last 10 years and imagine that you could start over.
If that’s a scary exercise for you, I’d urge you to do it immediately.
If you’ve ever been to a playground, you’ll remember a toy that’s quickly becoming cancelled; the merry go-round. Kids sit on top of it, hold the handles and hang on for dear life as their ‘friend’ spins them mercilessly.
Sweet dreams are made of these…
Imagine you’re sitting on the outer edge of that circle and it abruptly changes direction…
What happens?
You get thrown from the rails.
What happens if you’re standing in the center of the circle, and the change in direction repeats?
Nothing. You stay sitting…or standing; you navigate the change in direction with ease, because you’re centered.
That spinning wheel is our world. The change in direction is the shift we’re about to make as global leaders switch to AI-driven solutions, workplaces and targetted advertising. Every single person is going to be impacted in a real, tangible way.
How do you get closer the center of the wheel? Two ways.
Education and Application of new technologies, which include AI.
Every moment you spend in either of these practices will inch you closer to the center of the whel and prepare you for the abrupt shift.
I care about this topic. Deeply.
I don’t just see the shift coming as a death blow for people; I see it as an opportunity to change life for the better. If AI can replace human effort, then it can be harnessed in a postive way that lets people spend more time with their kids, hobbies or…self.
