Arnold’s 6 Rules of Life:

  1. Trust yourself
  2. Break the rules
  3. Don’t be afraid to fail
  4. Don’t listen to the naysayers
  5. Work your butt off
  6. Give something back

I am finding myself in the midst of an interesting situation. A sense of urgency has arisen concerning my faith/beliefs, and I’m determined to find the answer to the questions I’m looking for. To the best of my abilities, I’ve choked out every inkling and premeditated feeling of condemnation or self-realization that might spark faith, in attempts to find it through fact and reasoning. However, in the moment where life becomes quite clear, I am putting the pieces together that I feel are proving to be valuable. More later.

A voice has been screaming at me for several weeks now. It’s been telling me that I’m shirking my potential and wasting precious time. While I sometimes find this voice to be a maddening presence in my life, I cannot help but be thankful it exists, otherwise I may have never come to the choices and decisions I’m making in the next few days, weeks, and months.

Decisions about life, love, faith, career, opportunity, and regret are a constant source of [dis]comfort on my plate of life.

This week, I came to a new point in my life that has needed to happen for twenty-four years. I prayed. Not out of religious repetition or selfish desire, loud and boisterous public statements or quiet tears. It was an honest cry out to the Creator to grant  me a second chance…another shot…one more opportunity.
