SCROLL

It’s incredible to see we’re now living in a time where books such as 1984 are now getting banned in schools. That’s gotta be a sign of the end times that even Atheists could agree on…

When I was 20, I remember reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad; which frequently brought up the concept of a ‘rat race’ that many are trapped in. As I got older, I realized that escape from the rat race isn’t so much about money, as it is how you spend your time.

I know a lot of really rich people who don’t have a spare minute for their kids. On the inverse, I know a great deal of people a few clicks away from living on the streets, who have all of the time in the world to spend with the people they love.

Time. It goes by faster when you have a child.
Coal. Gets smaller when it turns into a diamond.

About six weeks ago, I was talking with Steve. We high-fived each other with the cymballs our heads were crashing between…encouraging each other through the process. I shared with him that I was having a miserable day.

He asked one question that hit me to the core:

“Have you been writing?”

Nope.

I started writing. Immediately, I felt like I was back home. In less than a week, I redecorated my home, launched a new venture, got my workout/diet in check and published another book.

Seeds never sprout immediately. Rather, it takes a lifetime of nourishment and care before you see their fruits. People aren’t much different.
