Taking Back

SCROLL

After taking an impromptu trip back to Ohio, it’s good to be back in Los Angeles, even if it’s just for a short amount of time. There’s quite a bit on my mind as the next few months are going to be a blur of activity/excitement across all fronts.

I’m learning that as you grow up, the things which you used to value the least are the ones you cherish most, and the things you used to think most important are the things that you now could care less about. Tommy Hilfiger is practically dead.

I’m also reaching a point where I need to realize that enough is enough. Surplus, excess, and obscene amounts of variety really do not bring happiness or contentment. Recently, I joked “Of course I’m content – the more stuff I get the more content I am” and, in all reality, it’s not a true statement and is somewhat reflective of an inner void that’s easy to momentarily distract with unnecessary purchases. There, I said it.
