“You’re doing great, kid”
When I was younger, I never worried about things like paying bills. It was a season of relative innocence that tends to disappear as we get older.
In my pieces, I frequently use bright blue/turqoise colors to symbolize my inner child/youth. Red is used to symbolize change/life/death.
In this piece, I capture the sense of innocence and I joy I recall as a child, paired with the huge life change that occurred when my Dad passed away.
