Reading Time: 2 minutes

Sometimes I look around at my life and wonder how things got to be the way they did. My life has been an extraordinary collage of experiences, travel, opportunities and authentic connections all over the world. It’s been a really wonderful journey.

I’ll admit, sometimes it has been hard to see the dots as they connects to each other, or the lines in-between. There have been a lot of moments where I feel like I have it all figured out, only to come crashing headfirst into a concrete barrier (metaphorically) I didn’t see coming. 2020 was that year for me, only to be followed by a dramatic wake-up call in 2021.

Somewhere along the lines, I mistook what it meant to take a punch for standing in the way of them as a sacrificial lamb. Not every fight is yours to surrender to. Others, however, require you step up to the plate and prepare your knockout blow.

Life can change in the twinkling of an eye, for both the better and the less-pleasant.

These days, life is looking up for me. I have newfound excitement for my goals, visions and dreams – and an incredible team of people to build them with.

It’s been a dream of mine since I was a young child to one day own a company where people could be themselves, as they are…and be celebrated for it. I had a dream to create a place full of personalities coming together to create beauty.

At that age, I didn’t understand what a business was. Hell, I didn’t even know what the word ‘agency’ meant at the time. Instead, I got a photo-realistic snapshot of a company I dreamed I would one day build.

This year, I decided it was time to pull the trigger on that dream. Tripleskinny needed to grow to become more than just me. So, I built a team…and it kept growing.

I don’t know what’s around the corner for me. I simply know that every day I get to wake up and talk, work and enjoy time with the people I love most in my life…and that feels pretty amazing to wake up to every day. It’s a new feeling of purpose, drive and gratitude I now have for this journey life has been to lead me to this jump-off point in my life.

It’s time to fly.
